I have dabbled in martial arts, from Judo to Kickboxing and played football (that’s Soccer, to my American readers) from young age, at semi pro level as a kid and county level as an adult. I have extensively researched various types of workout methods over the last 9 years and I am a big advocate of functional bodyweight exercises as a fundamental part of any exercise regiment.
In my teen years I trained with an ex boxer, and gained a solid foundation in training hard. This was a good experience as it taught me early on to set the bar high. Since then, even during times of inactivity, the benchmark was set and mediocre workouts just would not cut it for me.
Recent years have seen me incorporate training and ideas from various fields such as Calisthenics, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), bodyweight exercises, functional movement, plyometrics, fencing, karate, long distance running, sprinting and weight lifting. Using this vast array of knowledge to influence my ideas about my personal approach to working out and my approach to my diet.
I will be using this blog to further explore the various methods of achieving the results you want. I truly believe and have personally experienced that whatever position you are in now, you can initiate change, and improve yourself. The first step is to make up your mind that you going to, and when the challenges arrive, face them head on……
